Flower pattern project

This is a project involving the viewer: the observers could write "letters" about their memories of their clothes and exchange them for ceramic "flowers" by Arisa Kawabe. With that she could make a pattern of envelopes and ceramic flowers on the wall. Based on these "letters" various artists produced their work. It is an attempt to expand the relationship between Arisa Kawabe, The artists and the viewers. There were already 145 flowers exchanged for letters in Japan and Germany. Then the flowers were replaced by envelopes. Through memories of clothes written in letters, I aim to become a project that goes beyond culture, history, border, language, age and gender.
